Talia Meidlinger, LISW
Talia Meidlinger is a Licensed Independent Social Worker. She works with families and individuals ranging in age from youth to older adults. Talia's areas of speciality include working with adolescents and their families, mediating parenting strategies for divorced parents, and helping families and individuals navigate, understand, and support LGBTQIA identities. She works to help clients understand anxiety, depression, and trauma and the ways those things intersect with and effect their lives. Talia integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy into her work and understands clients as complex individuals who are best understand in the context of their social, emotional, and physical environments.
One-on-one Therapy to help individuals navigate a number of issues including LGBTQIA identities, life transitions, trauma, loss, depression and anxiety.
Family Therapy to gain understanding of family systems, communication patterns, and difficult dynamics. These sessions focus on improving communication and learning to talk about difficult topics in safe and supportive ways that lead to overall improvement in quality of life and satisfaction with family relationships.
Co-parenting after a divorce or separation is a difficult task. Utilizing a therapist or mediator to help facilitate these conversations in a safe and and neutral environment will help keep your children at the forefront of your work as you understand new family dynamics.
